Psychic Abilities: Develop your Intuition and Sixth Sense

Of the many Psychic Abilities there is one everyone can develop and use. Intuition, also called gut feeling or Sixth Sense, is an ability each one of us possesses at different degrees and as every other ability Intuition can be enhanced and improved. What's more developing your Sixth Sense is pretty easy, believe it or not, keep reading.
Developing your Intuition
Another name for Intuition is ESP or Extra Sensory Perception. For me it's more an SSP or Super Sensory Perception. While we can't be completely sure that somewhere in our brain there isn't a part able to receive unknown informations, a kind of recessive ability that only one over thousands possess, it's definitely certain that a conscious understanding of signals received by our subconscious mind gives us a Sixth Sense. Or Intuition. Think about Sherlock Holmes, I know it's a fictional character, he didn't have any supernatural power but was able to see/receive more information and to interpret/link them at a higher level. Or the TV series The Mentalist.

I'm definitely sure that the greater part, if not all, of Intuition instead of being one of those Psychic Abilities comes from a better use of our five senses which used together give us an enormous amount of information plus an enhanced communication between our Conscious and Subconscious Mind. Remember that our Subconscious Mind receives at any given moment millions of information both from the inside and the outside of ourselves.
Imagine what would be if we could have all the enhanced senses of a blind man together with sight. It's like comparing an old Commodore 64 with a state of the art supercomputer. Two completely different worlds. Obviously we can't live 24 hours a day in this kind of over receptive way otherwise we could become a little shattered, but we can enhance our receptivity so that we can deal better with important issues.
And we have this supercomputer at our disposal, and here you'll find some of the information to use it.
Of course this doesn't answer all questions like: how can it be that I know who's on the phone before answering? Or how can a dog know when his owner is dead when far from home? How can a mother know that his child has hurt himself ten kilometers from home? How is it that we can feel when someone is watching us? Aren't these all real examples of true Psychic Abilities?
Well, I don't have all the answers, and some things for now cannot be explained by science, or by me, but if they do exists then they are natural, even if rare, abilities.
So we can say that there is an Intuition coming from an enhanced use of our five senses and another one coming from what we call Sixth Sense. I'm going to cover both.
Tune your Inner Radio

Desired outcome: to be able to receive and understand messages from your Subconscious Mind.
Say to yourself:
Dear Subconscious, you know everything about me, at any given moment you receive millions of information from my senses, from inside my body and from the outside world and you do a good job at processing and utilizing them.
NOW, I know I CAN increase my understanding of important messages from you, just like when using a radio it's possible to increase the clarity of radio signal by turning the tuner. A better communication between us will surely greatly increase the quality of our life in many ways; I'm sure you agree with this. So I'd like to establish this new permanent directive:
I CAN INCREASE MY UNDERSTANDING OF IMPORTANT MESSAGES FROM MY SUBCONSCIOUS MIND.
I WANT TO INCREASE MY UNDERSTANDING OF IMPORTANT MESSAGES FROM MY SUBCONSCIOUS MIND.
Repeat the above two sentences three times.
FROM NOW ON I HAVE AN INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF IMPORTANT MESSAGES FROM MY SUBCONSCIOUS MIND.

IMAGINE THE ACHIEVED OUTCOME AND FEEL HOW YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.

Sixth Sense Antenna
Desired outcome: to be able to receive and understand messages from our inner Sixth Sense antenna.
Say to yourself:

Sometimes you even receive information that are not from a recognizable source, a kind of psychic information from an inner Sixth Sense.
NOW, I know I CAN increase my reception and understanding of important messages from my Sixth Sense. A better reception and understanding will surely greatly increase the quality of our life in many ways; I'm sure you agree with this. So I'd like to establish this new permanent directive:

Hey Hypnodude I really enjoyed this hub and I agree with you about the intuition. And I beleive that woman's intuition is stronger than a mans because of their ability to carry a child. At least in my case that is the way it is. Very good hub.
I might have to try some of your tips one day. I think being quiet and contemplative from time to time is a good thing though.

Interesting Hub, hypnodude. Everyone is pyschic and there are lots of exercises that make people more aware of their abilities, including meditation. Your exercises look interesting, so I'll try them out and see how much I improve.

Well Hypnodude, I completely understand about your Psychic senses, I seemly at times effected allot of friends and family to believing theres something worth a stronger sense of devotion, mine is meditation, Psychic are gifted, I believe that I have a sort of sixth sense, which aids me well through meditation and being able to use pictorial thinking. I've been lucky than most all my life, Bingo halls usually chase me out. Vegas Clubs have asked me to leave several times. But at sixty Three it's just not fun anymore. I quit shareing allot of my dreams, because people today just don't need anything else on thier plates, So I'm now learning how to invest my skills in bringing forth knowledege or bring back good old memories. Wow! What a fascinating hub! One of the major things animals have over humans is their powerful connection with nature. For instance, all animals began evacuating inland before the Tsunami hit the shore in 2007 (?) and more recently, the behavior of the animals in Haiti was very similar. What your suggesting IS possible. As humans, we do have the ability as it only needs sharpening, much like what you're suggesting.

When we lived more in touch with Nature we had the same abilities than animals, only that this days we don't use this sensitivity anymore. But I'm sure people like Amazonian Natives (I hope this is the right name) still have it from birth. And I guess that also whales and dolphins flew from the Tsunami before it happened. Love this subject. I have one friend in Austrailia and I communicate with her via my psychic antena. Whenever I need to speak with her, I leave her a psychic message and I always hear from her within 24 hours. It's amazing how powerful our minds are.

Hi Redraven, I think women are more used to use Intuition, probably because they are usually more "open" to feelings and sensations. And probably you can have better or faster results. This doesn't mean I don't try to fill the gap. :)

Hi I liked this hub and have been using my intuition for years it has served me well. I just this year read the bood the secret. If you find it you should readit I think you would like it.
Not only am I aware of intuition,I can also hear things like people calling my name or a knock on a door and hearing one's name.This is scary and causes people to question the individual's mental health.Sometimes I want to trade it in and say "Enough!".

Hi aoiffe, it seems that you are somehow over sensitive to your Intuition. It's quite common for people to be scared by what they don't know or understand, but if you experience it and have proofs of it then it's a natural thing, maybe an ability to train but nothing supernatural. I think affirmations/mantras are an excellent way to access hidden abilities. I also find that increasing awareness and sensitivity is very helpful for anyone wanting to tap into their innate knowing.
Hi Katrina, thank you very much, your Yoga Core hub is great too. :) I think that they work too, well, after some Self Hypnosis sessions as a reinforcement, and on the same principle I would add Mudras. I don't know if they work with the energy body field, but they certainly work as triggers to focus on issues. Indians culture is older than ours, they can't be wrong. :) Thanks for your kind comment.

I have been utilizing these phrases, exactly as you presented tham and reframing them for other creation purposes, they do indeed make things shift and open doors. Developing and receiving intuitive and psychic things even faster. I have always had an open channel, but this makes it easier and more clear to connect and see the one thing that often times can elude me, which is insight into my own self and my own experience. I will continue utilizing and sharing these techniques and tell any one, don't take my word or your word for it...Try It!

The inutitive process means that people use all of there 5 senses to pick up on there sixth sense, so if you are more apt at using your pyshical feelings then you may pick up intuitively by using your pyshical feelings to interpret the information mamely gut instinct, wobbly tummy etc.

As a firm believer in rational thinking it took me a while to trust my intuition (practice does makes perfect), but I saw the benefits and now I am a strong supporter of its power.

Intuition is a powerful tool in my Reiki practice and business, so I see the benefits that developed intuition gives us from both esoteric perspective, and very 'earthy' perspective.

The third eye-or sixth sense is what they call it-is instilled in everyone--I believe from the God spirit. That 'gut or intuitive' feeling has saved me many times than I can count. Thanks for good reading this afternoon!
