Make a Wish true with Donations for Free
81When we think about donations we usually think about the money but is this always true? Can we help others when times are so hard like these days when a lot of people have a very strict budget and always at risk of loosing their jobs? How can we help to make a wish to become true helping others without money and if we have very little free time?
Money for Charities
Donations don't always go toward helping others' wishes to become true because sometimes these kind of questions come to mind: "How many dollars really go to those in need?" "Do you know that for every dollar you give to a Charity either by phone or in person usually only 10 to 20 cents go to the people in need?" "Do you know that some Charities Top Managers earns more than one million dollars a year?" Or "Do you know that when FAO managers travel around the world they only go to four or five stars hotels?"
But do donations always have to involve money? If I were to make a wish has it really to be only about money? Is it the same for others? Is there a way to help others without money to be involved? You can bet there is and here are some.

The most famous site is the Hunger Site where for every click received, no more than one a day per surfer, a cup of rice is given to a hungry one. And what's more they are one of the few Charities who give 100% of money received to charity, not to themselves. This is their promise.
Founded in June 1999 these days they give around 200.000 cup of staple food every day thanks to sponsors who pay for it. And in these years they have given more than 671 million cups of food, which is amazing. It works quite simply, you click on the big yellow button, you are sent to another page where you see some advertisement from sponsors and can see how many cups of food are being given in that week. Of course then if you buy stuff at their shop you give a percentage of your money to the Charity too, but the important thing is that you can donate a cup of food daily without taking a penny from your pockets. Isn't that simply amazing?
And what's even better linked to them you can give free to these others:
Breast Cancer Site: Free Mammograms
Child Health Site: Free Child Healthcare
Literacy Site: Free Books
Rainforest Site: 11,4 square meters of Rainforest
Animal Rescue Site: 0,6 bowls of food to Rescued Animals
Ecology Fund: 70 square feet Rainforest, 4 pounds CO2, 0,4 square feet U.S. Wilderness, 16,5 square feet Mexican Wildlife
Isn't this amazing?
And they are not alone.
Free Donations 2
At Care2.com with the same principle you can help :
Haiti
Children
Rainforest
Wolves
Breast Cancer
Etc.
And if this is not enough you can even use a Search Engine like Goodsearch which powered by Yahoo gives 50% of its revenue to Charities. Ok, maybe it's not Google, but it doesn't cost you a penny. So maybe it's worth trying. You can help make a wish become true searching for stuff on the net. That's amazing, isn't it?
Surely there are many others on the web, but these three in my opinion are the best, if I find other options I'll keep you informed.
Free Donations 3
To donate money or stuff for free there are other two options:
Toys for Tots, from the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation where you can donate your old toys to children and help in various ways, like volunteering and becoming a drop-off point.
The Environment Site, the biggest independent environmental forum on the net where, like The Hunger Site or Care2Com, you can donate money just by clicking a button, thanks to sponsors.
Money to Charities for Food
Final Words
Well, I hope I've given you some food for thought about free donations and how to make a wish become true without having to use your own money, there are always ways to help someone else, even free ones. So, now, tomorrow and every day from now go there and give free help to someone else. Every click counts.

If i only knew about this hunger site earlier i would have visited it as often as i can. Thanks for introducing it to me Hypnodude.Great article and its well written too. Great job on the hub. cheers
good job hypno, as always the giving heart always gives even when there is less to give, thanks, Maita
where there is food for four there is food for five, like this one very much,
always happy to help, HYPNO--the DUDE< YEAH,
Thanks, Maita
Hello hypnodude you are correct about helping the less fortunate than ourselves. We often forget how lucky we are to have food on the table and a roof over our heads. I like this hub very much. Nice of you to give us this information.
Hypno - I am so glad to see a "tech" look at the subject. You did a great job with this. I use "goodsearch" as often as possible and was amazed how much quickly added up into a substantial amount for the charity I chose. Keep on the positive track, Hypno, you are better at it than you realize.
Really nice hypnodude...And congrats It is featured article as well.Rated up!!your a nice soul
Thanks. Where there's a will there's a way. You've given so much useful info. I didn't have enough for Haiti but posted on one of my websites, an offer of voluntary help to Charity Organisations who need people in London to support - maybe Admin, answering phones for couple of hours.
It's my Poem Blog (would be rude to post link here) and I have written 2 for giving, so hope you don't mind, but I will include this HUB in one of them. It gives people more options to give.
What a blessing you are. :)
Great information. You are so right sometimes are hard and I don't know how to give more and want what I give to go for what I think not making someone else's wallet fat. I like your resources. Thank you!
Hypnodude-- as always inportant info you give out. I can't say enough good things about this hub. Consider it bookmarked and Stumbled Upon( with a review)
It's good to learn about these opportunities to give to important causes. There really is no reason not to give...I guess I agree with the saying that you're either part of the solution or part of the problem...Giving lets us all be part of the solution.
Excellent job, hypnodude. I draw a lot of inspiration for my Hubs from Care2 as well. Thanks for helping people help others. Talk about helping others and without expense...you sir, practice what you preach.
Brilliant hub mate and well worthy of the 100 hubscore !
You can't imagine how many times I've heard - "I cant help myself I certainly can't help anyone else" but you just proved them wrong. I hope many a heart will be inspired to click on these sites and help these so deserving causes.
Thanks a lot for providing so fruitful information. I appreciate your endeavor in this regard. Helping others gives a feel of satisfaction. I love the way you modulated the facts. The clarity and balance shine from this article.
Dude, a local church has a sister parish in Haiti so when we give to them, we know the money is going to Haiti and not to pay a bunch of office workers or a big salary for the head honcho. Funny thing was, the church had a bit of a competition. My daughter's club gave the most. This is a club full of disabled people who earn very little money. The ones who could least afford to give, gave the most.
There is so much joy in giving especially to those who are in need. Thank you for bringing awareness on such an important topic.
Mio fratello...
You know that the Great Architect has you on a list, right? Let me tell you, he does! This is not only informative but beautiful! We cannot fail to see all the wondrous energy you are putting at work here, my friend! It will come back to you a thousand fold. REMEMBER that! Don`t be surprised when it does. Just say thank you and share it with the needy!
Great hub!
kind regards and benedizione,
Al
Thanks for writing on such an important topic. Its pretty bad that people take advantage of others.
Hi great advice. A question how can a non-profit benefit from having a HUB PAGE. How can someone go about it? It would be easier to offer a service than to beg for money. To go along the principle of "teach me to fish rather than give me fish" again thank you for great advice.
Very nice hub page, really appreciable. Usually there are very few pages on such topics, so thanks to writing such articles. And its true that all charities are dependent on the money. So its very nice way to make donation just by clicking on the charity link.
Resources:-
Hynodude, so glad you didn't take the cynical route with this hub, you did a great job. I'll remember to click the links whenever I can, especially the hunger one. Ciao.
It's really disheartening to see some of the head of those charity organisation earning millions of dollars whereas the majority are suffering, defintely will try out one of your methods this day since I am not rich enough to donate much to charity either ! =)
I like your ideas of helping out charities without money. True charity is by measuring your time instead of the wallet
I did not know about this. An earlier hub of mine concerned giving and now I can lead readers from there to here (hope this is 'hypcool' with you). I'll surf the sites you listed in this hub and have a look around. Voted-up/rated! Peace!
These are some pretty good ways to assist charities in need. Keep it up!
Excellent recommendations and one to add... what about Shop To Donate?
great hub. Charity is something very important to all of us. Charities promote medicine, human rights, animal rights and a host of other things most of enjoy every day. Nice hub.
